Der Bahnhof Wildflecken

Since the opening of the rail-road in 1908 there was a train-station located in Wildflecken. With the erection of the military training area and camp in 1936, the station was altered to fit the new purposes. A new building was constructed, it still looks the same today.

Bereits seit der Eröffnung der Bahnstrecke im Jahre 1908 war in Wildflecken ein Bahnhofsgebäude vorhanden. Mit der Errichtung der Truppenübungsplatzes mit Lager 1936 wurde der Bahnhofsbereich entsprechend erweitert. Auch ein neues Bahnhofsgebäude gehörte dazu. Es ist bis heute nahezu unverändert erhalten.

Als Wildfleckener Symbol gilt die Sculptur des "Holzfällers", die ihren Standort am Bahnhof hat.
