The Combat Support Squadron (CSS) of the 11th ACR had already been stationed in Wildflecken in the 1980s.
When the US Army “Daley Barracks” in Bad Kissingen closed down in 1991, 2nd Squadron 11th ACR moved to Wildflecken and stayed here until March 1994, when the 11th ACR deactivated.
In October 1994 the 11th ACR was reactivated and stationed in Ft. Irwin, Ca.
